First look at the snow this winter...
We bought a live Christmas tree this year. It's wrapped up in burlap and sort of temperarily potted in a plastic bin until we bring it in. We already decorated it with lights and some icicles, so it's fun to see it all sparkly out the front window at night...with real snow hanging from its branches. We can't bring it in yet because it is dormant...we can only have it in the house for three to five days or else it will come out of dormancy and we'd have to house a tree for the rest of the winter :-) That would be wierd... so we'll bring it in a day or two before Christmas Eve, decorate it with our other decorations and then take it out to plant...or leave it in the bin to wait until the ground is thawed enough to dig a hole to plant it into to :-) Either way, it's pretty cool!
